Day 3

Today we decided to work on another wall as we didn't want to damage the new looking plaster.

We decided to roll out the steamer to see if it would make our life easier. We pre-boiled the water to help the steamer heat up quicker, and in about 5 minutes she was steaming away! We were quite worried about how much steam would be outputted. Some articles say that so much steam can be output that it causes plaster to fall off the
walls! We found that while a lot of steam produced it wasn't too bad if you've got windows open. What also helped a lot was perforating the walls with a gizmo called a "paper tiger". This is a mean looking device with serrated wheels which pierce and lift the wallpaper, so as to make the steamers job easier. It worked well, though you have to be careful not to damage the plaster underneath.

We managed to strip 3/4 of the wall in ~2 1/2 hours which is not bad going.
